Witt Visiting Artist John McKaig

John McKaig's monumental woodcut print, Saints Never Surrender III, belongs to a series of drawings, paintings and prints in which the representation of a vessel is a way for the artist to explore his own passage through life. As John puts it:….I draw constantly, and find this activity as the basis for all my work and life.  My prints and paintings are drawings by extension, a way to bring layers and richness to my initial idea….. A faculty at the Interlochen Arts AcademyJohn was a visiting artist at Print@Stamps studios in 2010.
